Summary

  • Polaroid and MoMA have collaborated on the Now Generation 3 MoMA Edition
  • The camera features two-lens autofocus, double exposure mode and a human-friendly flash
  • A limited-edition film with MoMA designs and artist quotes is also available

Polaroid has launched the Now Generation 3 MoMA Edition, a limited-edition instant camera designed in collaboration with the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Featuring a striking monochrome blue body, the camera embodies a fusion of art and technology, celebrating creativity and self-expression. The MoMA logo is prominently displayed on the front, reinforcing its connection to the museum’s legacy of artistic innovation. Accompanying the camera are three vibrant wrist straps, each featuring bold graphic designs, adding a dynamic visual element to the overall aesthetic.

Built on the foundation of the Polaroid Now Generation 3, this special edition retains the two-lens autofocus system, ensuring sharp, high-quality images in various lighting conditions. The camera supports double exposure mode, allowing users to layer images for artistic compositions, while the flash optimizes brightness for natural-looking photographs.

Alongside the camera, Polaroid and MoMA have collaborated on a limited-edition i-Type color film, featuring 12 unique frame designs. These films are adorned with MoMA logos, alongside quotes from renowned artists such as Vincent van Gogh, Betye Saar and Milton Glaser. This exclusive film complements the camera’s artistic vision, encouraging users to experiment with photography as a form of creative expression. This limited edition is available through Polaroid, MoMA Design Store locations, as well as select retailers for $130 USD.
