Nintendo is officially set to open a new specialty store in Fukuoka, Japan in late 2025.
SoraNews24 reports that Nintendo Fukuoka will set up shop in Fukuoka City, and will mark the first on the far-west side of Japan. Fukuoka Prefecture’s capital city features a substantial local population, as well as an international airport to welcome foreign tourists.
Similar to its counterparts in Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto, Nintendo Fukuoka will offer the company’s own titles and merchandise. Plushies, apparel, houseware, stationary, snacks and Nintendo hardware and software will be available for purchase. SoraNews24 adds that Nintendo Fukuoka’s location “might be the most convenient of all” as it will set up shop in JR Hakata City’s Amu Plaza. JR Hakata City is connected to the JR Hakata Station, allowing those on the Shinkansen trains to quickly drop by the store and shop.
