Two seasons after winning their first NBA championship, the Denver Nuggets failed to reach the conference finals for the second consecutive time. The Nuggets were eliminated in Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and in a humiliating fashion, they were sent home by the final score of 125-93.

The Nuggets came up short in the final game after a grueling 13-game playoff run.
Now, the page has turned to the offseason, and Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic revealed his plans for the offseason after the tough Game 7 loss.

Jokic is coming off arguably his best season of his career at the ripe age of 30. In 70 games this season, Jokic was phenomenal, averaging 29.6 points per game, 12.7 rebounds, 10.2 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting 57.6 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from beyond the arc in 36.7 minutes of action.

He was just as good in the playoffs, averaging 26.7 points per game on 48.6 percent shooting from the field. On top of that, Jokic averaged 13.0 rebounds, 8.1 assists, and 2.2 steals per game in 14 games and 40.5 minutes of action.
Jokic not only revealed his offseason plans but also explained why this version of the Nuggets was not good enough to win the title this season.
“I mean, we didn’t. So obviously we can’t. If we could we would win it, so I don’t believe in those ‘ifs.’ We had opportunity (and) we didn’t win, so I think we can’t,” Jokic said.

Jokic didn’t stop there. He is also on the fence regarding EuroBasket this summer.
“I need to decide. There is a EuroBasket,” Jokic said. “I need to talk with the coaches and some of the main players. And we will see. But for now, for the next couple of days, there will be a lot of beer probably.”
The EuroBasket is scheduled between Aug. 27 and Sept. 14.
The three-time MVP delivered a solid performance in the series finale, but the Thunder ultimately showcased their dominance. Jokic wrapped up the game with 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, though support from his teammates was limited, making it difficult for Denver to keep pace.
“It seems like the teams that have longer rotations, longer bench is the ones who are winning,” Jokic said.
The Nuggets have a massive summer ahead of them, including finding a new general manager and deciding whether or not to keep interim head coach David Adelman.
