As the NBA offseason gets closer, one of the biggest storylines comes from the Milwaukee Bucks. Milwaukee is currently looking to get more clarification on the future of star Giannis Antetokounmpo with the team.
Antetokounmpo has reportedly been considering other teams and has begun the process of looking around the league. This could lead the star forward to ask out of Milwaukee, so the Bucks are bracing for that reality.

If the team were to make Antetokounmpo available on the open market, they would have no shortage of suitors. Almost every team would call to see what it would take to land the former MVP, giving the Bucks plenty of options.
While there would be many trade offers to come in, one could jump the board over all the others. Dan Favale of Bleacher Report proposed a bold three-team Antetokounmpo trade that would send a “godfather” type of return back to Milwaukee.
The deal would be between the Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, and New Orleans Pelicans. Here is how the deal would look:
Dallas Mavericks Receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo
Milwaukee Bucks Receive: Max Christie, Daniel Gafford, Jordan Hawkins, Caleb Martin, Kelly Olynyk, 2025 No. 1 overall pick, 2026 first-round pick (their own, via New Orleans), 2027 first-round pick (their own, via New Orleans’ swap rights)
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: Dereck Lively II, 2031 first-round pick (via Dallas)
This is certainly a deal that would be tough for Milwaukee to turn down. The team would get the chance to draft Cooper Flagg with the first overall pick, while also receiving some young players and draft assets.
There has been a lot of speculation about the Mavericks potentially looking to deal the No. 1 pick for the Bucks star. But it seems that Dallas likely holds onto the pick instead of trading it.

However, this does seem like the type of trade offer that would be required to pry the star from the Bucks. Antetokounmpo will also have some say in how things go down, and his interest in joining any teams will be a major factor.
It’s never easy for any team to move on from the franchise cornerstone, but it seems that Antetokounmpo’s time in Milwaukee could be coming to an end. It remains to be seen if the two sides will part ways this summer, but there is a lot of smoke around all the rumors.
