Butch Hartman is launching his own independent animation studio geared toward faith-based and mainstream family and children’s programming.
The 7x Emmy-nominated illustrator, writer and producer behind Nickelodeon’s The Fairly OddParents and Danny Phantom has announced Butch Hartman Studios, a full-service production studio with over 40 animation crew members.
“Our stories and shows are created and curated with families in mind,” said Hartman in a statement. “We’re working with some of the best animators in the business, many of whom I’ve worked with on other shows, to offer an enriching experience suitable for children of all ages. Our mandate is to provide safe entertainment where kids can be enthralled, excited and encouraged to set their imaginations free. My Christian faith has convinced me that in a world of almost unbearable uncertainty, the importance of fun and empowering kids’ entertainment has never been more profound.”
The studio is currently working on Season 2 of Hartman and wife Julieann’s The Garden Cartoon, which is currently available on Angel Studios and other streaming platforms. Several Garden Cartoon movies are also in the works, distributed by BMG-Global.
Also on the studio’s slate are, Little Harps, about a guardian angel school that prepares new recruits to help kids down on earth; Dragon Drive-Thru, about three little dragons who run a fast-food stand in a medieval town; and Family Fusion, about two super-science families who try to live next door to each other without destroying the neighborhood.
