EXCLUSIVE: Mettlemouse, the nascent production outfit behind hit Channel 4 reality show The Honesty Box, has brought in a head of production.
Emma Read-Wilson will work alongside founder Sarah Tyekiff and creative chief Shaun Parry to lead Mettlemouse’s operation and drive the next growth phase. She has experience working on the likes of The Masked Singer, The X Factor and The Mole as a production manager and head of production.
The hire comes off the back of the success of The Honesty Box, which has become Channel 4 portfolio channel E4’s biggest ever launch on streaming for a new original commission and most watched debut series launch on linear since 2022, according to the network.
In The Honesty Box, which is hosted by Vicky Pattison and Married at First Sight’s Lucinda Light, contestants on an island take part in a radical dating experiment in which they regularly face lie detector tests while chasing a £100,000 ($132,000) prize.
Mettlemouse launched nearly two years ago and is backed by BBC Studios. The indie run by ex-The Only Way is Essex exec Tyekiff has a second, yet-to-be-announced commission.
Tyekiff said: “We couldn’t be happier that Emma has joined us at Mettlemouse. Her vast experience and reputation for excellence makes her the perfect fit as we grow and look forward to more record-breaking success.”
