Summary

  • Playboi Carti’s MUSIC followup is reportedly done
  • Collaborator F1LTHY confirmed the album’s completion via X
  • Carti previously stated BABY BOI would be released this year

Playboi Carti‘s MUSIC followup BABY BOI is apparently already finished.

The news was revealed on X via Carti collaborator F1LTHY, who responded to a tweet by a fan who suggested that BABY BOI is “gonna get scrapped and have a different album title.” The producer shut down the skepticism and replied, “Album already finished watch this.”

No additional details about the album were revealed.

Carti previously asserted that he’ll be dropping BABY BOI this year. He reportedly said via Kurrco “WE PUSHIN BBY BOI / IM ON ONE DIS YEAR,” and said in March that he has “another clip ready.”

His latest album MUSIC dropped in mid-March and marked his first solo effort in just over four years. The album was first announced in early 2021 and went through a series of rebrands during the process of its creation. It went on to debut at No. 1 and featured guest appearances from Travis Scott, the Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Jhené Aiko, Skepta, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Ty Dolla Sign and Young Thug.

Stay tuned for more info.
