EXCLUSIVE: Apple TV+ is hunting for Michelin Stars in a new documentary series from Gordon Ramsay.
The streaming service has greenlit Studio Ramsay Global’s Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars, an eight-part series in which food expert Jesse Burgess spotlights the chefs pursuing and trying to keep hold of Michelin stars.
Burgess is the co-founder and presenter of Topjaw, a social media channel that reviews restaurants and interviews celebrities, including Idris Elba and Florence Pugh, about their favorite food spots.
With exclusive access to the Michelin Guide, the series will journey from Los Angeles to London on the trail of a team of inspectors who use false identities and phone numbers to dine anonymously and award stars.
Ramsay said: “As a chef, the pursuit for perfection is everything, and you cannot underestimate the unbelievable drive and ambition, the determination and sacrifice, these chefs are going through day in and day out, chasing the dream of acknowledgment from The Michelin Guide.”
Knife Edge executive producers are Ramsay, Lisa Edwards, and Morgan Roberts. James Callum is the series director. Ramsay is in the midst of a busy period, with the chef making a Netflix docuseries, Fox’s Gordon Ramsay’s Secret Service, Season 15 of MasterChef, and two more seasons of Next Level Chef.
