HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A man wanted after he was caught on camera peeping into a hotel window at children has been arrested and booked into the Madison County Jail.

Labrontae Lamar Sales Jr, 33, was booked into the Madison County Jail at 10:17 p.m. Friday, according to jail records. He is charged with aggravated criminal surveillance.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, the mother of the children said that the incident happened on May 5, between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. She was able to catch the suspect on video.

HPD said on Thursday that it had issued a warrant for Sales in connection with the incident.

Jenna Farrar and Jerry Leverette, the parents, told News 19 they were staying at the Southern Comfort Suites on University Drive in Huntsville with their 6 and 10-year-old daughters. They have a personal security camera installed at their unit’s entrance, and the video it caught is any parent’s nightmare.

“I just don’t even understand it,” Leverette told News 19. “I mean, he’s got to be really sick in the head.”

The video shared with News 19 shows a grown man who appears to put his hand down his pants while looking at the girls through the window. The video shows the man was outside the room for nearly two hours.

It showed people passing by trying to get the man to leave. The man even tried to lure the girls outside of their unit.

“The Huntsville Police Department is committed to the protection of children and will continue to pursue, without hesitation, those who pose a threat to their safety,” an HPD spokesperson said on Thursday.

The case is being investigated by HPD’s Special Victims Unit.
