Dollar Tree has a lot of great products that I find are a great value, including dishes.

Dina Richards

I used to work at Dollar Tree, and I still really enjoy shopping there.

Although not everything in the store is a dollar anymore — most items are $1.25 — a lot of buys are still a great value.

Here are nine things I love to buy at Dollar Tree.

I swear by the Ioni false lashes.

Ioni has a wide range of false lashes.

Dina Richards

Found at Dollar Tree, the brand Ioni has multiple beauty products I love and use. Its false eyelashes can’t be beaten.

First off, Ioni has a great variety. I’ve seen more than 20 styles of lashes, including natural, dramatic, wispy, and cat eye.

I’ve been able to use a single pair multiple times for an unbeatable value at only $1.25 a pair.

Don’t skip the glass bowls and plates.

Dollar Tree’s bowls and plates seem quite sturdy to me.

Every few months, Dollar Tree puts out seasonal collections of kitchenware that usually include glass bowls, glass plates, mugs, small and large glasses, kitchen towels, oven mitts, and pot holders.

I’ve seen a range of designs, including autumn leaves, sunflowers, lemon trees, holly leaves, and polka dots.

If you’re going for a simpler look, try the clear glass plates and bowls available year-round. I think they’re very aesthetically pleasing, and I’ve also found them to be super sturdy — I’ve yet to break one.

I buy cleaning products at Dollar Tree.

Some of the best cleaning products I’ve ever used have been purchased at Dollar Tree.

The chain’s selection varies, but I especially love the brand LA’s Totally Awesome and its all-purpose spray. I’ve also found window cleaner, wood cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and carpet cleaner.

I’ve seen this brand sold by other retailers for a much higher price, so consistently finding it in Dollar Tree stores is a huge win.

The margarita glasses at Dollar Tree are my favorite.

Dollar Tree offers a wide variety of glassware, including wine glasses, mason jars, mugs, and multiple styles of regular drinking glasses.

My kitchen is stocked with Dollar Tree items, but my favorite purchases have been the margarita glasses.

They’re aesthetically pleasing, sturdy, and don’t break easily. The glasses are perfect for a dinner party or just a night in.

Dollar Tree carries a large selection of Hallmark cards for any occasion.

Dina Richards

Whether it’s a birthday, a graduation, or a holiday, Dollar Tree has you covered. Many locations have at least half an aisle dedicated to Hallmark cards.

Most cards are just $1. Greeting cards can be upward of $10 for one at other stores, so there’s no other place that I would buy a card.

Saving so much money on a card can allow you to spend more on a gift.

Don’t waste money buying gift bags anywhere else.

Gift bags are another item that can be unnecessarily pricey at other stores. I think it’s a waste to spend too much money on something that’s often used only once and discarded.

Fortunately, Dollar Tree’s selection of gift bags (and tissue paper) is great.

The chain also rotates in new bags for every holiday and season. I’ve seen multiple designs, colors, and sizes, with some smaller gift bags even being sold in packs of two or three.

Staying in the party category, balloons are another great find.

You can get the balloons inflated for free at Dollar Tree.

Dina Richards

Dollar Tree offers more than 30 styles of balloons year-round, mainly birthday balloons, solid-color balloons, and character balloons.

The chain also offers themed balloons for holidays such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Helium is also included at no additional cost, and your balloons are inflated by an employee on the spot. I’ve yet to find balloons for a better price anywhere else.

I always check the hair-accessories aisle.

Dollar Tree always has new clips and accessories.

Dina Richards

Dollar Tree has a wide selection of claw clips and scrunchies for any look. Some hair accessories are even sold in pairs or sets of three for a complete steal.

I’ve seen many designs, including floral patterns, solid colors, and animal prints. My favorite find so far is a pink fuzzy claw clip that’s perfect for winter.

The calendars and planners are also a great deal.

There’s a calendar design for just about everyone at Dollar Tree.

Dina Richards

Every year, usually in the fall, Dollar Tree sells calendars and planners of all shapes and sizes.

Whether you need a calendar to hang on the wall, a standing calendar to place on your desk, a dry-erase calendar for your office, or a planner to keep track of your schedule, Dollar Tree has it.

In my opinion, you can’t beat the price for the quality and variety.
