Today, Gucci has unveiled the official date and location of its cruise 2026 collection, which will be designed by the house’s team, as Demna readies for his eventual debut. On May 15, the house will open its Florence brand archive to spectators at Palazzo Settimanni.

Nestled on via delle Caldaie in the Oltrarno district, the 15th-century building was purchased by Gucci in 1953. The historic building was transformed into the Gucci Archive in 2021, after serving as a factory, showroom, and its first workshop over the years.

Gucci’s chief executive officer, Stefano Cantino said “Returning to Florence — and specifically to Palazzo Settimanni — is both a tribute and a declaration of intent.”  “The archive is not merely a repository of our past; it is a living space where Gucci’s identity codes are preserved and reinterpreted through an ongoing dialogue. Presenting the cruise 2026 collection here reaffirms our bond with the cultural and artisanal heritage that defines us, while projecting it into the future with coherence and ambition,” he continued.

Following the exit of Sabato De Sarno in February, Demna was appointed as the brand’s new creative lead in March and will present his final Balenciaga show in July.
