Did you know Emma Stone is a San Diego Padres fan? Or, at least, she has the uniform of a San Diego Padres fan, which is good enough in my book.
The Oscar winner and her husband, Dave McCary, were photographed at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx to watch the Padres face off against the New York Yankees on May 7 for a rare public day-date. And, despite being on the home team’s turf, they came decked out in all of their Padres gear. And I mean all of it.
Stone paired her San Diego Padres baseball cap with a brown San Diego Padres bomber jacket, which she proudly showed off for the cameras. Her husband coordinated in his own Padres cap and bomber jacket. While the accent colors on both sets of gear are slightly different, I can assure you that they are both, in fact, repping the same team.
If possible, they were even more lovable when caught on the jumbotron, standing up and cheering from right behind the plate.

While Stone is originally from Phoenix (their baseball team is the Arizona Diamondbacks), her husband is from San Diego. You know, in case you couldn’t guess. Clearly, he’s got a lot of hometown pride, which Stone has apparently adopted, being a supportive spouse.
Emma Stone and her husband aren’t known for being especially public with their relationship, but I can tell you that the two love to attend a sporting event together, especially if it’s a Padres game. They were spotted at another Padres game (also fully decked out in Padres merch) in 2021, per E! News.
And another in 2022.
And another in 2023, when McCary threw the ceremonial first pitch.
Not that they’re Padres-exclusive. We saw them looking cute watching a Lakers-Knicks game in 2023 (for which Stone dressed in studiously neutral colors, I might add). And look at how sweet they were at a Golden State Warriors–Los Angeles Clippers game back in 2019.
Basically, if we’re going to spot Emma Stone and Dave McCary on a date night, we expect it to be, if not at a Padres game, at least in the ballpark.
