PHOENIX – On the same day IKEA debuted a new concept in Scottsdale, the Swedish home furnishings giant announced its next move in Arizona.

The company revealed plans for a small-format IKEA Phoenix store on Wednesday as it debuted the state’s first “Plan & order point with Pick-Up” concept in Scottsdale.

“We are thrilled to offer Phoenix metro area residents more ways to shop and experience IKEA,” Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer for IKEA U.S., said in a press release. “These new locations highlight our commitment to bring IKEA closer to the many people and make it easier and more affordable to access our home furnishing products and solutions.”

Where will IKEA Phoenix be located?

IKEA Phoenix is expected to open in early 2026 in the Village Square II shopping center on the southwest corner of Tatum Boulevard and Cactus Road. The site is just south of the PV redevelopment on the former Paradise Valley Mall site.

It won’t be as large as the warehouse-like blue store off Interstate 10 in Tempe, but unlike the new Scottsdale location, it will have stock on hand that customers can take home.

The location that opened at The Promenade Scottsdale on Monday is the brand’s first appointment-based showroom concept in Arizona.

Shoppers looking for solutions to their kitchen, bedroom and bathroom projects can get personalized support from company experts at the new store.

The Scottsdale location also offers free curbside pick-up on qualifying online orders.

“We are bringing the IKEA experience closer to our customers, making shopping easier, and meeting our customers where they live, work, socialize and shop,” market manager Kori Thorstenson said in the release.
