Summary

  • Singer reveals Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined, limited to 100 builds
  • Features a 420 hp 4.0L flat-six engine with tech from Cosworth
  • Fully customizable with carbon body, manual gearbox, and bespoke interiors

Singer has revealed its latest bespoke restoration project: the Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe Reimagined by Singer. Inspired by the wide-bodied G-series 911s of the 1980s, this limited-edition service draws on cutting-edge motorsport engineering and classic design, with only 100 commissions available.

At its heart lies a new 4L naturally aspirated flat-six, developed with Cosworth. Producing 420 hp and revving past 8,000 rpm, it combines water-cooled cylinder heads and air-cooled cylinders for the first time in a Singer engine. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and managed through five selectable drive modes. Titanium exhaust and carbon ceramic brakes deliver thrilling sound and stopping power.

The car is built on a strengthened Type 964 chassis with support from Red Bull Advanced Technologies. Electronically adjustable suspension, optional active aero and center-lock wheels complete the performance package. The carbon fiber bodywork pays homage to Porsche’s Super Sport Equipment, with fixed or speed-activated rear wings, retro styling cues and weight-saving details. Two example specs were revealed: a touring-focused Celeste Passalacqua build and a track-ready Giallo Segnale variant.

Inside, owners can personalize every detail — from burnished leather seams and heritage-inspired textiles to tech like CarPlay and discreet navigation. Singer’s restorations are backed by extensive testing at Nardo, Nürburgring and beyond. As Rob Dickinson notes, this project captures the soul of an iconic era: “Hans Mezger’s masterpiece — restored, reimagined and reborn — is at the heart of the car.”
