Mattel Brick Shop has revealed its most detailed build yet: a 1:12 scale replica of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. Featuring 1,600 precision-molded pieces, including metal parts and customization elements, the model recreates the legendary gullwing coupe in stunning detail. The collaboration with Mercedes-Benz marks the debut entry in Mattel’s new Premium Series under its Hot Wheels banner.
Designed by Benoit Monterroso and Craig Callum, the set captures signature features like the 300 SL’s iconic gullwing doors, aggressive grille and sculpted bodywork. Measuring 36 cm long and 10 cm tall, the replica also includes functional details such as opening doors, hood and trunk, plus swappable components like wheels, seats and exhaust pipes for a personalized touch.
A standout accessory is the included metal “Signature Plate” which doubles as a key fob, while a spare tire in the trunk adds realism. Buyers will also receive an exclusive 1:64 Hot Wheels Premium die-cast 300 SL in a perspex case. Pre-orders are open now via Mattel Brick Shop, with availability at select retailers starting summer 2025.
