When Ike Barinholtz shows up, you remember him—even if he’s not playing the lead character. He’s the tracksuit-wearing nurse Morgan Tookers on The Mindy Project, the Russian baseball player Ivan Dochenko in Eastbound & Down, and, most recently, the boisterous movie studio executive Sal Saperstein in Seth Rogen’s new Apple TV+ series, The Studio. “I do have a tendency to play characters that are kind of, I don’t know, stupid or haughty or impulsive,” he tells Vanity Fair. “It does feel like a lot of times that is in my wheelhouse.”
