There are many great matchups in the second round of the NBA Playoffs, and this one might be the most intriguing because of the superstars playing for each team. Stephen Curry looks to win his fifth NBA title, while Anthony Edwards attempts to win his first, but the two stand in each other’s way.
The Warriors beat the Rockets in the first round, and the series went all the way to Game 7. It was Buddy Hield, not Curry or Jimmy Butler, who led the way. Hield exploded for 33 points on 9-11 shooting from three, setting a new career high in the playoffs. Curry and Butler combined for 42 in their 103-89 win.
Minnesota defeated a Lakers team led by Luka Doncic and LeBron James in the first round, as Edwards once again proved he is the guy when it comes to taking down giants. Over the past two seasons, he has defeated Doncic, James, Kevin Durant, and Nikola Jokic. Curry is just the next future Hall of Famer in line on his list.
