Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Teoscar Hernández was removed from Monday’s game against the Miami Marlins in the fourth inning.

The Dodgers revealed that Hernández has exited the game with left hamstring tightness.
Hernández was already 2-for-2 on Monday with a single and a double. Following his RBI double in the first inning, he became the MLB leader in runs batted in with 34, surpassing New York Yankees star Aaron Judge.
Hernández is in the midst of another dominant season for the Dodgers.
Coming off an All-Star campaign in 2024, Hernández is slashing .315/.333/.600 with nine home runs, 34 RBIs, 10 doubles and an OPS of .933. In a lineup full of MVPs, it’s been Hernández who has been the leading run producer.

Hernández signed a one-year deal with the Dodgers last offseason, hoping to re-establish his value on the market after a down year with the Seattle Mariners in 2023.
The right-handed slugger did that and more, slashing .272/.339/.501 with 33 home runs, 99 runs batted in and an OPS of .840.
Hernández made his second career All-Star appearance, won his first career Home Run Derby, and, most importantly, won his first career World Series championship while playing a key role on the team (Hernández received a ring from the Houston Astros in 2017 after appearing in one game with the team that regular season). Hernández earned himself a three-year, $66 million deal from the Dodgers in free agency.

This year, Hernández’s offense has picked up where it left off, and the Dodgers will hope he didn’t suffer any serious injury on Monday. Hernández has found a home as the cleanup hitter for the Dodgers, hitting behind MVPs Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.
The Dodgers should have further updates on Hernández when manager Dave Roberts speaks to reporters after the game.
The Dodgers are in the midst of a 10 games in 10 days stretch, as they play two more against the Marlins this week before beginning a four-game series with the National League West rival Arizona Diamondbacks on Thursday.
Having a healthy Hernández for the weekend series will be of paramount importance for L.A.
