A 4-year-old Staffordshire bull terrier from Victoria, Australia, has left people in stitches with her contrasting behavior between home and outdoors.
Holly, affectionately dubbed a “little princess” by her owner, has won over hearts in an Instagram video where she was effortlessly scaling rocks and jumping onto benches during outdoor adventures—only to act helplessly indoors, dramatically waiting for assistance to climb onto the couch or bed.
“She has always been a little princess from a very young age,” Holly’s owner, who wished to remain anonymous, told Newsweek.
The video has over 35 million views on Instagram, as Holly goes from tearing through the park to staring at her owner asking for a boost to get into bed.
For her owner, this is no surprise. “Generally all Staffys are just big babies,” he said. “It’s definitely for attention and because she knows I will eventually help her.”
In the comments, people couldn’t get enough. Viewer emmyburgos said: “Parkour on the outside, diva on the inside.”
While fellow pet owner zhetta_attehz said: “As an owner of one such dog, I can attest to the fact that gravity is much stronger indoors and they need assistance.”
“I love her,” said viewer simply.me.67.
Another Instagram user said maybe Holly’s behavior had another route. “Just being respectful. No jumping in the house,” said aeghar.s.
“I am not kidding myself. She knows she is spoiled and I’ll always help her,” Holly’s owner said. “I do not mind and I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Holly is much loved online, with more than 230,000 followers on Instagram. Her owner explained: “I like to show Holly’s different quirks online. A lot of the videos that do well tend to have a lot of people who relate to them or have a fur baby that does the same thing. Staffys and Bully Breeds, in general, if raised right and have good humans are just big softies.”
This isn’t the first time a Staffordshire bull terrier has gained viral attention for a touch of drama. Arlo gained viral attention when he went to the vet’s office dramatically limping, only to strut out of the vet’s office a few hours later completely fine.
