Summary

  • Racer Worldwide reimagines wired Apple earphones as a stainless steel fashion accessory
  • The RacerPods Necklace embraces 2007-2013 pop culture, tying into the brand’s “MyRacer” digital world
  • Available for pre-order at $68 USD, shipping starts June 16

Racer Worldwide’s RacerPods Necklace transforms the wired Apple earphones of the 2010s into a bold piece of accessory. As part of the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, the piece embodies the “Spring Break” theme, which draws from the chaotic energy of 2007-2013 pop culture. Under Mihhail Zigadlo’s creative direction and styled by Lana Jay Lackey, the collection connects each design to the brand’s digital world, “MyRacer,” a playful nod to early social media platforms like MySpace

Designed in real size, the RacerPods Necklace strips away the earphones’ original functionality and reimagines it as a contemporary statement piece. The polished stainless steel finish enhances its sleek aesthetic, while the accompanying snake chain allows it to be worn around the neck or placed in the ears. Subtle branding is incorporated into the design, with the Racer logo engraved on the part that once housed the built-in remote.

This unconventional accessory merges nostalgia with modern style, reflecting Racer Worldwide’s ability to turn everyday items into wearable art. Retailing at $68 USD, the RacerPods Necklace is available for pre-order in limited quantities through the brand’s official webstore. Orders placed before May 15 will ship between June 16 – 20.
