Mayor Eric Adams is set to unveil his $115 billion re-election year fiscal plan Thursday — touting the proposal, which is flush with new spending, as the “best budget ever.”

Hizzoner’s 2026 Executive Budget will set aside nearly $200 million for education programs previously funded by federal COVID-19-era stimulus cash.

The proposal, too, allocates $1.4 billion to protect programs that weren’t previously funded in the upcoming fiscal year, including more than $675 million in new permanent funding, City Hall said.

“This budget is a testament to our commitment to making New York City safer, more affordable, and the best place to raise a family,” Adams said in a statement ahead of the official announcement.

“This is the budget my mom needed, that my family needed, and, with it, we’re saying to working families: your city has your back.”

The mayor is set to announce the plan in full at Bayside High School in Queens at noon.

Among the other investments Adams’ will tout in the upcoming plan are $96 million in savings for CUNY, continuing the current level of citywide litter basket pick-ups and $298 million for school nurses.

Funding for 7,000 summer youth jobs and a $15.7 million boost for the city’s three public library systems is also laid out, according to the mayor’s office.

In the lead up to Thursday’s official announcement, Adams had already drip-fed that his plan would expand the Big Apple’s free after-school program by upping funding by 75% and bringing 20,000 seats online over the next three years.

The budget also aims to boost the NYPD with an additional 35,000 cops by Fall of 2026.

“From prioritizing access to child care and launching ‘After-School for All’ to investing in permanent funding for libraries, CUNY, and our world-class institutions that make New York City what it is, to tackling quality-of-life issues and making our streets safer, the $1.4 billion we’re investing to protect and lift up critical programs will make lives better for families across all five boroughs,” Adams said.

“We are doing all of this while maintaining record-high reserves to help us face anything that comes our way.”
