Incredible Film has boarded sales on Cannes-set Rom-Com Out of Luck (Dubbel Zes) for an international launch at the Marché du Film in May.

The Dutch-language comedy stars Dutch actress Abbey Hoes (The Hitman’s Bodyguard), opposite Ryan Brown (Home and Away, Everything I Know About Love) and pop star and actor Jim Bakkum, as spoilt heiress Annabel who loses her fortune, home and relationship in one disastrous night, which ends in a jail cell.

After reaching rock bottom, Annabel realizes it’s time to get her life together. But torn between two men, two identities and numerous lies, this may be easier said than done. Part of the story unfolds against the backdrop of the Cannes Film Festival

The comedy, directed by Jonathan Elbers (The Club Of Ugly Children) and produced by Dutch FilmWorks, released in the Netherlands on April 3where it has grossed just over $900K to date.

Netherlands-based sales agent Incredible Film will also present Johan Nijenhuis feel-good drama Running for Love (Dochters), starring Anne-Mieke Ruyten as a recent widow determined to fulfil her late husband’s bucket list.

She enters herself and her three busy daughters – played by Hoes, Barbara Sloesen and Sanne Vogel – for a marathon, but they are less than enthusiastic about the idea. The Film releases in the Netherlands on May 8.

“We are delighted to present Out of Luck and Running for Love at this year’s Marché du Film. Both features reflect Incredible Film’s slate of films with wide commercial appeal and international relevance,” said CEO Daniëlle Raaphorst. “As we continue to grow our portfolio across multiple genres, we are proud to bring high quality films such as these to the global market.”
