In the battle for NHL supremacy in Florida, the Florida Panthers and the Tampa Bay Lightning continue their best-of-seven first-round series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Wednesday in Game 5. With a win on Wednesday, the Panthers can close out the series.

The Panthers opened the series by winning the first two games on the road. They are back in Tampa Bay hoping to have that same kind of success. The series has yet to have a one-score game.
In Game 4 on Monday, Aaron Ekblad and Seth Jones scored third-period goals 11 seconds apart to help the Panthers come from behind to beat the Lightning 4-2. The goals were the fastest by defensemen from the same team in Stanley Cup Playoffs history.
In the regular season, the Lightning finished second in the NHL’s Atlantic Division, going 47-27-8, which gave the team 102 points. The Panthers weren’t far behind, though, as the team was 47-31-4, which equaled 98 points.
These two teams split their season series, going 2-2 against each other.
