MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — Morgan County Schools addressed concerns about the lack of air conditioning at Albert P. Brewer High School Tuesday.
Below is a statement provided by the Morgan County School System to News 19 regarding concerns that Albert P. Brewer High School was without air conditioning during the school day:
The comfort and safety of our students and staff are our top priorities.
We began addressing the AC issue as soon as it was reported. We have placed temporary units throughout the school and moved classes to empty classrooms with AC to ensure a comfortable environment for our students. Any individual concerns we have addressed as needed.

Parents of students and even students at the school told News 19 that classrooms were reaching extreme levels. Noah Evans is a senior at the school, and he told us that his classroom thermostat showed the temperature was at 86 degrees on Tuesday and was around 92 degrees on Monday.
Below is a picture of the thermostat Evans sent us about the temperature in his classroom Tuesday.
Another parent told News 19 that their child’s classroom thermostat showed the temperature at 88 degrees today.
