Madrid Open tennis tournament temporarily suspended
The Madrid Open tennis tournament was temporarily suspended due to the power outage.
“We are working to restore normality as soon as possible,” organizers said.
Two singles matches and one doubles match at the event were underway when power was lost.
According to the ATP, the outage is preventing the use of electronic line-calling systems and has also left a spider cam dangling over the court inside Manolo Santana Stadium.
