A body language expert claimed Blake Lively had a “hypnotic effect” over her husband, Ryan Reynolds, while on the red carpet for the “Another Simple Favor” screening in New York City Sunday.

A video posted to X showed the”Gossip Girl” alum frantically gesturing her hand toward someone off the red carpet as the actor appeared confused, with his eyes widening in a puzzled expression.

Reynolds then moved off the carpet while Lively patted him on the back.

Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that Lively’s “directive hand signals” demonstrated her “fondness for directing the action out on the red carpet,” while Reynolds had “loyal and obedient-looking responses” to his wife’s directions.

“It’s hard to see if Blake’s circling, winding hand gesture is aimed at someone else further along the red carpet or if it’s a signal to Ryan to motivate him to set off to work the camera poses,” she said.

James described the actress’ motions as “winding up clockwork or doing some kind of countdown to rev him into instant action before he gets that extra push or nudge on the back from her other hand as he sets off.”

“His eyes almost hint at some hypnotic effect, although Ryan is known for his ironic sense of humor, so the facial expression could just be performed to get a laugh here,” James claimed.

Reps for Lively, 37, weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

She wore a mint-colored Tamara Ralph lace corset gown, featuring cutouts on the bodice and a sheer skirt.

Meanwhile, Reynolds, 48, sported a gray suit.

The couple appeared head-over-heels as they lovingly gazed into each other’s eyes while posing for photos.

The pair has continued to put on a united front amid their legal issues with Lively’s “It Ends With Us” co-star/director, Justin Baldoni.

The “Deadpool” star was also on hand to support the actress on Thursday at the Time100 gala, where she was honored as one of the magazine’s “Most Influential People” of 2025.

Lively and Reynolds then had a PDA-filled outing cheering on the actor’s Wrexham soccer team in the UK Saturday.
