The 2025 NFL Draft has officially come and gone, and every team had their shining moments over the weekend.
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns stole the show with their big trades, while the New York Giants also made a ton of noise in Round 1.
There were also a lot of questionable decisions, such as the Cowboys electing not to address the wide receiver spot, and Cleveland taking a pair of backup rookie quarterbacks to compete against one another.
Still, every team had their moments in the sun and their own questionable choices.
With all that in mind, let’s take a look at the best and worst picks for each team, starting with the NFC East.
Dallas Cowboys
Best Pick: Donovan Ezeiruaku, EDGE
To get a player like Ezeiruaku at this point in the second round is a steal, and it comes at a position the Cowboys needed to address. He will play early and make an impact opposite Micah Parsons.
Worst Pick: Tyler Booker, OG
Tyler Booker is going to be a good player in Dallas and his physicality and playing style is something the Cowboys need. The problem is, they needed to address a skill position, which they elected not to do until Round 5, meaning unless they sign a free-agent receiver, they could struggle again offensively.
New York Giants
Best Pick: Darius Alexander, DT
The easy answer here would be Abdul Carter because he is a generational talent. But that’s too easy. The Giants also added defensive Darius Alexander to the roster at a high-value spot in the draft, and he has a chance to be an every-down player for them for years to come.
Worst Pick: Jaxson Dart, QB
Jaxson Dart was the second-best quarterback in this class to many experts over Shedeur Sanders, but the Giants had already signed two veterans who will be ahead of him for at least 2025. And for a head coach that needs to win this year to get off of the hot seat, and to trade draft capital to do it when you could have otherwise filled needs, it seems like a reach.
Philadelphia Eagles
Best Pick: Jihaad Campbell, LB
Getting a player like Jihaad Campbell at No. 31, when he very easily could have been a top 15 pick is simply a masterclass from the Philadelphia Eagles. It is why they are the best team in the NFL. They just keep adding good players at high-value positions.
Worst Pick: Kyle McCord, QB
This is a bit nitpicky considering McCord is a very capable quarterback. But it could be argued he doesn’t fit the scheme very well and he is a bit of a statue in the pocket. Again, we are nitpicking here, but McCord is the player who has the least chance to make an impact in 2025.
Washington Commanders
Best Pick: Trey Amos, CB
Trey Amos is a seasoned SEC corner who comes in at a position of need with great value at his selection in Round 2. He could have very easily been a first-round pick.
Worst Pick: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB
This is another nitpicky choice, given the Commanders only had five picks, but they took a flyer on Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who will likely not see the field in 2025. He only played in one game last season and was not invited to the combine, so his actual impact is still a myster.
