“RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Jiggly Caliente has died following a leg amputation. She was 44.
On Sunday, Caliente’s family released a statement on her Instagram page, announcing her shocking death.
“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Bianca Castro-Arabejo, known to the world and cherished by many as Jiggly Caliente,” they wrote.
“Bianca passed away peacefully on April 27, 2025, at 4:42 am, surrounded by her loving family and close friends.”
Caliente’s relatives said she was a “luminous presence in the worlds of entertainment and advocacy” and was “celebrated for her infectious energy, fierce wit, and unwavering authenticity.”
“She touched countless lives through her artistry, activism, and the genuine connection she fostered with fans around the world,” they added.
“Her legacy is one of love, courage, and light. Though her physical presence is gone, the joy she shared and the space she helped create for so many will remain forever. She will be deeply missed, always loved, and eternally remembered.”
Several “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars took to Caliente’s comments with touching words after her passing.

Due to the reality star’s amputation, her family announced that she would not be appearing on “RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines” for the upcoming season, nor would she be “participating in any public engagements for the foreseeable future.”
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Bianca and her family as they navigate this difficult journey together,” the statement continued.
“Bianca’s family and drag house are deeply grateful for the continued outpouring of support, strength, and prayers.”
In 2012, Caliente came in eighth place on “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
The “Pose” actress was then tapped as one of 13 queens to participate in Season 6 of “RuPaulâs Drag Race: All Stars” in 2021. She placed 12th overall after being eliminated in the second episode.
In 2022, Caliente became an official judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race Philippines.”
