Christian Siriano says not much has changed when it comes to Real Housewives expecting free clothes.
Last year, the designer revealed that he doesn’t dress Bravolebreties “because they don’t pay, and it seems that skinflint sartorial ways are still the norm — except for one Housewife.
“Bronwyn still pays,” he told Page Six Style exclusively at the City Harvest Presents The 2025 Gala: Carnaval earlier this week, referring to “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” newcomer Bronwyn Newport.
Newport is a longtime Siriano customer who often wears his creations on the show.
“Brownyn bought two dresses yesterday,” he added, “so anyone that says Bronwyn doesn’t pay…She does!”
The “Project Runway” star, 37, explained that he’s happy to provide dresses for famous folk but draws a line.
“I think if you’re winning an Oscar, it’s a little different,” he opined. “If you’re going to win an Oscar in it, no problem. A little different than like, going to the corner store on the episode of ‘The Housewives.’”
Last year, Siriano groused to Page Six that “a lot of people like free clothes, and not everyone needs free clothing,” adding that it can become frustrating.
“We’re not an endless closet,” he shared. “It’s a lot of work and energy and time and money that we put into clothes. This is what we do for a living.”
On a happier note, Siriano recently completed two longtime-held wishes.
One was dressing Halle Berry for the Oscars, who hit the 2025 red carpet in a breathtaking disco-ball number that hugged her curves.
“It was my greatest goal in my whole career,” he gushed, “and I finally got to do it.”
The other was buying his mom a house in Richmond, Virginia.
“It was my dream my whole life to be able to buy my mom a house,” he revealed. “I always wanted to do that so it was really nice. I bought it for her last year.”
