PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Three men were arrested for drugs by the Priceville Police Department early Sunday morning, among other charges.
PPD said around 2 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle on I-65 south on the 334 exit.
The department said that after officers made contact with the people inside the vehicle, a narcotics field investigation started.
As a result of the investigation, a quantity of fentanyl pills, marijuana, various drug paraphernalia, numerous firearms and multiple rubber-banded bundles of U.S. currency were found inside the vehicle. All of the items were consistent with the illicit sale and distribution of illegal drugs, PPD said.
26-year-old Courtenay Levon Borden, 27-year-old Antwane Markeith Cook and 27-year-old Lanoah Ealy Jr. of Sylacauga were arrested and taken to the Morgan County Jail.
They are charged with the following:
Ealy Jr. was charged with unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, second-degree promoting prison contraband, unlawful possession of marijuana 1st and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held with a $145,000 bond.
Borden was charged with unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. PPD said he is being held with a $60,000 bond, but he also has a nationwide extradition warrant hold out of Talladega County for non-compliance with probation.
Finally, Cook was charged with unlawful possession of a short-barreled rifle, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is also being held with a $60,000 bond.
