Sydney Sweeney has a busy couple of years ahead of her as she is set to star in another video game adaptation film. The Euphoria star is set to be in the upcoming adaptation of Split Fiction that is directed by Jon M. Chu. The news come after Sweeney was announced to be attached to star in Michael Bay’s new video game adaptation film OutRun.

Written by Deadpool & Wolverine screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, Split Fiction is slated to be produced by Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson’s Story Kitchen with Sweeney on as the executive producer. From Electronic Arts and developer Hazelight Studios, Split Fiction follows a pair of authors Mio and Zoe who become trapped in the world they wrote. The title was originally a co-op adventure game that features split-screen combat, platforming challenges and characters with different abilities. It is uncertain which role Sweeney will play but she is slated to be either or Zoe or Mio.

The game was only released on March 6 of this year on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. It is set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. So far, it has not been confirmed when the film adaptation will release. Stay tuned.
