Yellowjackets has officially managed its buzziest season yet.
The Season 3 finale delivered 3M global viewers in seven days across linear and streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime, per parent company Paramount Global.
It’s difficult to compare episodic performance across the season, since Paramount did not release weekly data. In February, the company touted that the premiere episode had managed 2.03M viewers in its debut weekend, but since the numbers for the finale are across seven days of viewing, no real conclusions can be drawn about how much the audience grew over the course of the season.
Paramount did say that Season 3 attracted the largest audience the series has ever seen, with the final episode managing an episodic record on streaming. On streaming alone, the Season 3 finale increased 54% over the Season 2 finale.

This is in line with Deadline’s reporting in March that Season 3 of Yellowjackets was pacing healthily ahead of Season 2 in terms of viewership.
Total viewership for Season 3 was up 3% compared to the second season. Yellowjackets is now the second most-streamed global Showtime original ever, after Dexter: Original Sin.
“Yellowjackets is a fiercely original, genre-bending phenomenon – an electrifying blend of psychological horror, survival thriller and coming-of-age drama from the brilliant minds of Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and brought to life by our stellar cast,” Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount Global and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, said in a statement. “Season three drove record numbers and was key to maintaining Paramount+’s ranking as a top three SVOD for original series’ minutes, proving the power of our differentiated strategy with fewer, bigger, breakthrough series.”
Yellowjackets Season 3 picks up directly in the aftermath of the Season 2 finale. Per the logline: “As summer arrives, the Yellowjackets face a fragile victory—the brutal winter that nearly claimed them is finally behind them, but distrust in leadership and tension within the team jeopardize their chances of being rescued. In the present, long-buried secrets from their pasts begin to surface. As the women fight to keep their lives from unraveling, they must confront a chilling question: who are they really, and what dark truths are they hiding from each other and themselves?”
Yellowjackets is created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. Lyle, Nickerson and fellow showrunner Jonathan Lisco serve as executive producers. Drew Comins of Creative Engine also serves as executive producer along with Jeff W. Byrd, Sarah L. Thompson, Ameni Rozsa and Brad Van Arragon. The series is produced for Showtime by Lionsgate Television.
