The people have spoken – or Netflix has, at least.
Tyler Perry‘s sitcom for the streamer, She the People, will launch in two parts, the streamer announced today. An eight-episode part one tranche drops on May 22, with part two, also eight episodes, following on August 14.
The show stars Terri J. Vaughn as Lieutenant Governor candidate Antoinette Dunkerson, who runs a successful campaign and must then figure out how to thrive under a sexist and condescending governor and keep her family in line now that they’re in the public eye.
Jade Novah, Drew Olivia Tillman, Tré Boyd, Dyon Brooks and Jo Marie Payton also star.
