The Political Machine is one of those games that never has to end, given that its fuel is interest in U.S. presidential politics.
While the presidential election might be over, Stardock released a new update to The Political Machine 2024 free for all players that includes a new tariff gameplay event where players will have to navigate tariffs as a raised important issue during campaigns as well as updated demographics data that will make for more accurate simulation in your journey to The White House.
“Much like the world around us, The Political Machine 2024 continues to evolve with new gameplay updates ripped from today’s headlines,” said Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock Entertainment, in a statement. “We’re interested to see what new challenges and opportunities players are able to take advantage of with the curveball issue of Tariffs now being brought into the game.”
Since its first release in 2004, The Political Machine franchise has been one of the most popular U.S. presidential election simulators available. Stardock’s game has accurately predicted past elections such as the most recent presidential election of 2024 and the 2016 election.
The Stardock team captures various metrics such as voter enthusiasm, demographic data, and campaign polling data in order to create the most true-to-life political game. With this new update, this data receives a refresh taking into account the most recent state demographic, party registrations, and campaign results information available.
The Political Machine 2024 is available on Steam and the official Stardock store page for $20. Stardock, based in Plymouth, Michigan, has been around since 1991, around when it launched Galactic Civilizations on the IBM OS/2.
