Paying homage to one of the U.K.’s most iconic bands, blur, Levi’s has released a collection of band tees. The band has been ath the heart of British cultural life and influence for over past three decades and the collection gives a nod to the band’s trailblazing endeavors that defined an era with their sharp lyrics and genre-bending sound.
The Levi’s blur band tee collection honors their classic ’90s logo, marking the decade they entered the international music scene. The white t-shirt featurs the blur logo on a blue background, while the black tee features the logo on a red background and the sea blue shirt, which is the third and final tee, sees the The Great Escape album artwork as its main graphic. The album celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. To keep the vintage tee integrity, the collection’s interior neck labels add period correct authenticity to each t-shirt are inspired by 90’s era woven labels.
Leo Gamboa, Senior Director of Global Collaborations & Customization Design at Levi’s said of the collection, “Levi’s® has always been rooted in music. We wanted to bring back the vibe of your favorite blur band tee—authentic, timeless, and made with quality that lasts for years to come.” The band, which consists of members Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, revolutionized the sound of English pop music with their second album Modern Life Is Rubbish in 1993.
