Photos show sheets covering the back wheels of the service vehicle where the victim’s body was still trapped.

The truck had lights and sirens on as they were responding to a call just after 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to police.

As the truck was making a turn onto Juniper Boulevard alongside Juniper Valley Park when the cyclist came out from behind a car and rammed into the side of the truck, ending up beneath the rear wheels, according to police sources.

Rescue Company 4, founded in 1931, is one of the most elite companies in the FDNY, according to Hall of Flame.

The storied unit lost eight firefighters while responding to the World Trade Center on September 11th.

An investigation into the tragic traffic incident is ongoing.
