Timberland and Jacquemus are teaming up, announcing a new collaboration today that sees the Paris-based fashion house put its spin on one of the American outdoor brand’s most iconic models – the 3-Eye Lug Boat Shoe, or “La Bateau”.

Arriving in a fresh “Banana Yellow” make up, the new release is a seasonally appropriate take on a classic summertime silhouette that Timberland introduced back in 1978. The 2025 “La Bateau” version retains the signature features that have made this the go-to boat shoe for many, including the hard-wearing premium leather used on the shoe’s uppers, softer leather found in the lining, and the rugged and instantly noticeable lug outsole.

Jacquemus’ Simon Porte’s personal touch is further seen in the gold-colored lace-tip eyelets that cap the ends of the shoes’s cotton laces, with each side featuring both a square and a round lace-tip. The shoes also feature cobranded gold-colored metal lace keepers, a tiny but welcomed detail that adds an extra bit of Parisian pizzazz.

The Timberland and Jacquemus “La Bateau” shoe is launching at online and in-store at Jacquemus, in-store at Timberland’s Tokyo monobrand location, and on Timberland’s website on April 23 priced at £225 GBP / $250 USD.
