Jennifer Aniston reveals her ‘extreme fear’ — and how she overcomes it

Jennifer Aniston prefers to keep her feet on the ground.

“I have an extreme fear of flying,” the actress, 56, admitted in a new interview with Travel + Leisure.

To calm her terror, Aniston told the outlet that she used to superstitiously touch the plane she was about to board with her right palm and then step onto the aircraft with her right foot.

“But I have been doing some hypnosis lately, and one of the requirements is to remove all of those superstitions,” she continued.

“I have not been doing the right hand, right foot [thing anymore] — and now it’s shockingly good!”

The “Friends” star added that “plugging into a good meditation” also helps, along with getting up periodically to stretch or walk.

Packing, however, is another story as the “Murder Mystery” star admitted that she tends to bring way more items than she needs for any given trip.

“I’ve been trying so hard to become an under-packer because I am notoriously an over-packer,” said Aniston, noting that Japan and the Maldives are still on her bucket list of places to go.

“You just don’t know where you’re going to be on a certain day, or what mood you’re going to be in.”

Still, there are benefits to lugging along too much to wear, Aniston argued.

“My girlfriends really appreciate me because they can usually borrow all of my things that they have forgotten,” she said. “I’m providing a service!”

As for why she loves to travel, Aniston — who listed Kauai, Lake Como and Paris as some of her favorite places —believes there’s more to life than “just this little bubble” we’re in.

“It’s all very important and expands our awareness greater than what we’re confined to,” she said.

Earlier this month, Aniston also touched on her love of travel while exclusively speaking to Page Six.

She told us that whenever she’s away from Pvolve trainer Dani Coleman, she makes sure to pack her “favorite travel-friendly” equipment: Pvolve’s Sculpt Anywhere Bundle.

“It has everything you need for total body sculpting and toning — no matter where you are in the world,” the “Horrible Bosses” star, who curated the on-the-go kit with the brand, gushed.

“I really do swear by it when I’m on the move.”

The interview came just months after Aniston revealed her wellness routine ahead of her 56th birthday in February.

She told Allure magazine at the time that she follows an “80/20 approach” to health and fitness.

“You’ve got to live your life. No restrictions — except hard drugs,” she joked. “Eighty percent healthy living and then 20 percent is: Go have a martini, go have your pizza and burgers and stay up late with your friends. There’s a balance.”
