One of the rarest Ferrari F50s — once owned by fashion icon Ralph Lauren — is now set to go under the hammer. Finished in Giallo Modena, it’s one of only two U.S.-spec F50s in this striking yellow, making it an exceptionally unique example of Ferrari’s 50th-anniversary hypercar.

Ordered new by Lauren, the car was kept in his collection for eight years before changing hands in 2003. Since then, it’s been with the same private owners for over two decades. With fewer than 5,400 miles on the odometer, the F50 has lived a remarkably private life, having not been seen in public since 2009.

Built on a Formula 1-inspired carbon fiber chassis and powered by a naturally aspirated 4.7L V12 derived from Ferrari’s 1992 F1 engine, the F50 delivers 513 hp and a top speed of 202 mph. Its removable targa top and analog driving feel make it one of the most visceral Ferrari experiences ever made for the road. Certified by Ferrari Classiche and freshly serviced in late 2024 — including new tires, fuel bladder and brakes. The vehicle is backed by full documentation and a “no-stories” history.

Bidding for this highly desirable F50 — estimated to fetch as much as $7,000,000 USD — is set to take place during RM Sotheby’s upcoming Monterey auction on August 15.
