Cuban-American actor William Levy was arrested in Miami on charges of disorderly intoxication and trespassing.

The telenova star, 44, was booked into the Broward County jail on Monday night after cops responded to a call about a disturbance at a bar and grill just after 10 p.m. local time.

Levy was reportedly “highly intoxicated and causing a disturbance inside the restaurant” when police arrived, per TMZ.

The restaurant manager allegedly asked the actor to leave the establishment multiple times, but he did not comply. After police witnessed his refusal, he was promptly arrested and booked.

He is now facing two misdemeanor charges: disorderly intoxication in a public place and trespassing on occupied property.

Levy spent the night at the detention center and was released on a $500 bond late Tuesday afternoon.

Reps for Levy did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

After his release, Levy was met by a crowd of reporters outside the court and gave his take on the situation.

The “Resident Evil” actor said he was “having a drink” with one of his friends from a rec baseball team when “they started arguing with another guy.”

“I got in front of him to try to deescalate the situation,” Levy claimed in a video posted by journalist Maria Fernanda Lopez. “And I’m the one who ended up in handcuffs.”

“I tried to stay calm the whole time,” he continued. “In the end, I was the one who had to leave.”

When asked about the trespassing charge, he replied, “Well, they had to take me in for something.”

The actor also vehemently denied the rumor that he had a physical altercation with a restaurant employee.

This isn’t Levy’s first run-in with the law.

In April 2024, People En Español reported that police responded to the South Florida home of Levy and his long-term partner, Elizabeth Gutierrez, four times within the last year.

Law enforcement was reportedly called to the residence due to domestic disturbances. However, the reports did not include allegations of violence and neither of them filed charges against the other.

The former couple, who share two children, separated in early 2024 after two decades together.

Levy was born in Cuba but moved to Miami when he was 14. He landed his first on-screen role in his mid-20s and went on to appear in Tyler Perry’s “The Single Moms Club” and several hit soap operas and Spanish films.

In 2012, he competed on Season 14 of “Dancing With the Stars,” where he and pro partner Cheryl Burke finished third.
