She achieved international fame as Angela Bower in the hit sitcom Who’s the Boss? before going on to star in shows including Ugly Betty, Transparent and The Politician.

Last year, Light won the Guest Actress in a Comedy Series Primetime Emmy for Peacock’s Rian Johnson series Poker Face. Recent projects include Apple TV+’s Before alongside Billy Crystal, Searchlight’s film The Menu and Out of My Mind for Disney+. Next up, she stars in The Terror: Devil in Silver for AMC.

Under her leadership, the jury will have the task of selecting the most compelling news and factual work, reflecting the world around us including its major upheavals.

“We are honoured to welcome two exceptional figures as Jury Presidents this year,” said Cécile Menoni, Executive Director of the Festival. “Their talent, dedication, and unique perspective on audiovisual creation will undoubtedly enrich this edition of the Festival. They embody the excellence and innovation that drive our industry, and we look forward to celebrating the very best of international television with them.”

Monte-Carlo takes place from June 13 to 17. House of Cards star Robin Wright will be given the Festival’s Crystal Nymph Award, which is bestowed for career achievements and creating a lasting impact on the TV industry.
