Just before taking the stage for his Coachella 2025 headlining debut, Post Malone revealed that a new album is officially in the works. Speaking to Billboard while unwinding at a lively Poppi party in Indio, California, he shared that he’s already recorded around 35 songs for the project. “Itt’s just a matter of which one’s rock and which one’s sock,” he joked. The news comes less than a year after the release of F-1 Trillion, his wildly successful, country-leaning album that topped the Billboard 200 and spawned the No. 1 hit “I Had Some Help” featuring Morgan Wallen.
Although he’s keeping the details under wraps, Post confirmed that the new project continues his dive into country music, a genre he’s grown increasingly comfortable in. “We just sit and f-ing talk and make songs. And so I’m pretty excited for the new record already,” he said of his recent writing sessions in Nashville with friends like Ernest, Hardy and Thomas Rhett. As for whether he’ll preview any new music during his Coachella set he responded, “Absolutely not,” he laughed. Still, fans won’t have to wait long. When asked if he plans to keep up his streak of releasing an album every year, Post replied, “Hopefully. We’ll have some music releasing very, very soon.”
