EXCLUSIVE: Marc Menchaca (Ozark) and Reese Antoinette (Bad Monkey) have joined the guest starring cast of Showtime‘s Dexter: Resurrection. Menchaca will play the role of Red, and Antoinette will play Joy, Blessing Kamara’s (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine) headstrong daughter.

Production on the Dexter: New Blood follow-up series from showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips kicked off in January in New York and is set to premiere this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime.

Led by Michael C. Hall, who returns to the role of the titular serial killer, the cast also includes returning stars David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista, Jack Alcott as Dexter’s son Harrison Morgan, and James Remar as Dexter’s father Harry Morgan. Dexter: New Blood‘s David Magidoff will return to the role of Teddy Reed from the Iron Lake Police Department. In late March, we confirmed John Lithgow and Jimmy Smits would also return to the universe as The Trinity Killer, Arthur Mitchell, and Miguel Prado, respectively.

New additions also include Uma Thurman as Charley, Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara, Kadia Saraf as Detective Claudette Wallace, Dominic Fumusa as Detective Melvin Oliva, and Emilia Suárez as Elsa Rivera. Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian are also set to guest star as Lowell, Mia, Al, and Gareth, respectively.

Watch on Deadline

Dexter: Resurrection is executive produced by Clyde Phillips, who also returns to serve as showrunner, and produced by Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios. Michael C. Hall also serves as executive producer along with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, with Marcos Siega serving as producing director. Monica Raymund is set to direct four episodes, with Siega directing six episodes. The series is distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
