Just about any dog parent will tell you that clipping their dog’s nails is no easy task. Now, you can always take your dog to the groomer’s, but that can be extensive. So, what do dog parents on a budget do?
Well, in theory, pet parents can clip their dogs’ nails if they can get them to sit still. So, the question is: how do you get your dog to sit still while you clip their nails?
One dog mama sought to answer this question and came up with a wacky, simple, and altogether hilarious hack that demands our attention, as you’ll see in this video.
Well, that was certainly easy!
Some plastic wrap, peanut butter, and a nail clipper are easy enough to come by. And this beagle certainly doesn’t seem to mind. They’re perfectly content to sit back and lick peanut butter off their mom’s forehead well she clips their nails.
So far, so good. But of course, we have to put this hacked through the litmus test that is the comment section on the Internet.

Unsurprisingly, the Internet was pretty divided on this one. Some people proclaimed this method as “the hack of the century.”
Meanwhile, some commenters thought that this video was very “cute” but were concerned for this beagle’s health because they were eating too much peanut butter, which they claimed is unhealthy for dogs.
Is this true?
Is Peanut Butter Unhealthy for Dogs?
According to the American Kennel Club, the majority of peanut butter is actually safe for dogs to consume. When our canine companions eat peanut butter in moderation, it can be an excellent source of niacin, healthy fats, and protein, as well as vitamins E and B.
They recommend feeding our canine companions unsalted peanut butter, homemade peanut butter, or dog-specific peanut butter. Ideally, if our dogs are eating peanut butter, we want it to be low in sodium, sugars, and other additives.
