HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The quiet weather is forecast to continue heading into the upcoming workweek. Aside from isolated showers, there will be plenty of sunshine and limited clouds.
The week will start breezy, sunny, and warm before a cold front moves through the region late Monday night into Tuesday morning. Ahead of the front, winds will strengthen out of the south-southwest, filtering warm air into the region.
Gusts upwards of 30 mph are expected, with isolated higher gusts possible in the higher terrain. As the front moves through the area, we are expected to see the strongest winds. Isolated showers will develop Monday night and quickly move out of the area by Tuesday morning.
Winds will shift out of the northwest on Tuesday, allowing for cooler and drier air to filter into the region.
Following temperatures warming into the low 80s Monday, highs will only warm into the upper 60s Tuesday. Temperatures will quickly rebound in the second half of the week. Friday into the weekend highs are forecast to reach the low 80s.
Following the isolated shower chance Monday night, high pressure will build into the region, supporting the return of dry weather. The next chance for isolated showers will arrive by the weekend.
