As JiyongKim and Clarks Originals continue their collaboration, the duo has revealed two new reimaginings of Clarks’ iconic Wallabee and Desert Trek silhouettes. Both models are redesigned using JiyongKim’s distinctive sun-bleaching technique, adding a distinct aesthetic to these timeless styles.
Building on the success of their previous sold-out collection in September, this partnership underscores JiyongKim’s dedication to blending innovative methods with classic footwear styles. For this release, the Desert Trek features sun-bleached fabric on its upper, creating a natural color gradient and incorporating a raw-edge technique that transforms unraveling into a fringe design detail. Meanwhile, the Wallabee adopts the sun-bleaching effect on its sides, allowing the distinctive technique to be visible from multiple angles.
The collection will officially launch on April 20, 2.p.m. Korean Standard Time, available through the designer’s online store as well as the newly opened JiyongKim Hannam Store. In response to customer demand, this release includes an expanded size range, featuring women’s sizes for the first time. Additionally, the Desert Trek model exclusive to JiyongKim’s store will debut in a distinctive fabric and color, further enhancing its individuality within the collection.
