Addison Rae has never been shy about her love for the one and only Britney Spears. The “Aquamarine” singer often pays homage to Spears in her music videos (peep that bottle of Fantasy in “High Fashion”) and outfits, including a very Britney look she wore for a day out with friends.
Addison Rae was definitely serving up Spears vibes in Los Angeles earlier this week, when she hit up Silver Lake Park with a few friends to soak up the sunshine. While heading to the park, Rae donned a ripped, light-wash denim miniskirt, which she wore unbuttoned to let her navel ring peek out. She pulled a white, lacy halter bralette top over her black bikini top, layered that with a sheer white top, and accessorized with a black cowboy hat, sunglasses, and a few tote bags, plus a pair of flip-flops on her feet. Spears circa 2004 would definitely approve of this outfit; all it needs is a Red Bull or a Frappuccino to be 100 percent Britney.
Though the two Louisiana musician-dancers are constantly compared to one another, Rae shot down rumors that she’d be playing the Princess of Pop in the forthcoming biopic based on Spears’s memoir The Woman in Me. “I honestly don’t think anyone deserves to play her. She’s such an enigma and such an icon,” she said in late 2024.
“I don’t even think it’s right to compare me to her at all,” Rae added. “I think she really, really created something that is untouchable and so in its own lane that nobody will ever truly be able to replicate what she did for music, and even the entertainment industry.”
Rae finished off by saying she supports “anything and everything that Britney Spears ever wants to do in her life and career, and I think she’ll have the best opinion on who she thinks that should be.”
