Neko Health Opens Second Location in London, its Largest Space Worldwide

Neko Health, the self-described “preventive healthcare technology company”, has today opened a second Health Centre in Spitalfields Market, London – a bright 7,466-square-foot space that’s “equipped to deliver up to 30,000 scans annually” and becomes its largest location globally.

The brainchild of co-founders Hjalmar Nilsonne and Spotify’s Daniel Ek, the Stockholm-based company has gone viral for its £299 GBP (approx. $385 USD) full-body health scan that “maps millions of health data points”, both internally and externally, on a patient’s body in a matter of minutes, checking for multiple potential health red flags including skin cancer, blood abnormalities, as well as risk factors for stroke and heart attack to name just a few. The single-price service also includes a one-on-one consultation with a doctor at the end of each session, where customers can view and discuss the results of their scan in-person – all of which takes place in less than one hour.

Described by the FT as the “Apple of healthcare”, Neko Health is on a mission to take on the medical–industrial complex and redefine what healthcare really means in a modern world, using data and technology to help detect and prevent issues before they become problems.

Its co-founder Nilsonne – who comes from a family of doctors, but opted against expectations and became an engineer instead – think the mainstream medical experience today hasn’t changed in decades, and this belief if reflected in each of Neko Health’s locations: carefully and impeccably designed spaces that are as practical as they are both aesthetically pleasing and sensorially welcoming.

London is also home to Neko Health’s only other location outside of Sweden. Its Marylebone branch opened less than a year ago, but demand for its body scan service has been so high that it has built a near six-figure long waitlist.

Located at 1 Lamb Street, E1 6EA in the east end of London, Neko Health’s new Health Centre is open now. For more information and to join the waitlist, visit the brand’s website.
