If you have a pet, I think you should be able to count wrangling them as a workout. Even if they’re not big, they can move very quickly when they want to, and they’re surprisingly slippery.
Sometimes, though, pets are downright heavy. Whether you’re hoisting a Newfoundland into the car or trying to deadlift your Maine Coon cat, it’s definitely a workout! Just look at this video from Wednesday, April 9th, when one Maine Coon demanded his daily spin:
A Cat Named Peak is obviously named Peak because he’s the size of a literal mountain. He is so huge for absolutely no reason!

Peak is a pure Maine Coon, and he’s amazing. Though we’re not sure exactly how old he is or how much he weighs, we do know that he travels between Florida and Maine!
He spends the cooler months in Florida and the summer months here, where his breed was born. He loves adventure of all kinds: he goes to the beach, for hikes in the mountains, and all around town. Give him a harness and his leash and he’s all set!
When he’s not out adventuring, he’s home with mom, and the two of them have lots of fun. He enjoys a nice snuggle on the couch, but he also loves his daily spins and, apparently, gossiping with his friends:
Peak is so massive and gorgeous that he was recently invited to the Global Pet Expo, where there were tons of other cats for him to have fun with. He loves to make new friends: Maine Coon cats are outgoing!
Though it’s not necessarily a requirement to take your Maine Coon cat out on adventures, it’s certainly something you might want to consider! There are lots of ways to go about it:
Whatever you choose will have to be pretty large: full-grown, male Maine Coons can weigh 25 pounds or better. A leash and harness or a stroller might be best, unless you haven’t gotten your arm workout in today!
