Fans of Wendy’s popular dessert Frosty are demanding answers after the chain posted a perplexing update on social media.
The brand shared a post on social media platform X on April 8 saying, “Sorry to say, but Frosty is out :/,” with fans quickly spiraling after seeing the statement. Going further, Wendy’s re-shared the post on Instagram and added a couple of memes, including one that showed a Frosty with the text, “he hath has abanoned us.”
It’s safe to say that fans were confused by the update, with many asking for clarity on what it really meant and highlighting the fact that April Fools’ Day, when many brands play pranks on their fans, was last week.
“NOOOOOOOOOO MY LIFE IS GONE, MY ONLY HAPPINESS,” declared one passionate fan, while others asked, “like ur joking right?!?!?” and “was your account hacked?!”
Others replied, “This is NOT funny 😢😢,” “Gonna be talking to my therapist about this,” and “this joke is 7 days late. Stop playing @wendys.” Another fan just wrote, “Clarify,” although Wendy’s didn’t answer.
The intense reactions continued, with notes like, “Wendy’s how could you,” “Tell Wendy come outside. I just wanna talk,” and “Dude. You’ve failed us. The one thing I always thought about from Wendy’s.. and you take it away.”
As of writing, Wendy’s has not shared any further update about what the statement means for fans’ beloved Frosty.
